Is it possible to put a figure on the “considerably stiffer” Boost towards the standard widths.

In general we keep a low profile with percentage figures as the increase of the lateral stability may differ on the several rims. It can be said, that the stiffness of a 29er rear wheel with 148mm width is about 20% higher than as with 142 mm. The lateral stability increases about 17% at the front wheel due to the Boost standard.

KUGELLAGER

Für unsere Naben verwenden wir speziell auf unsere Bedürfnisse abgestimmte Normlager. Das heißt: In der Breite und im Durchmesser handelt es sich um genormte Präzisions-Rillenkugellager. Das Innenleben wurde allerdings speziell für unsere Naben getuned. So kommt zum Beispiel ein spezielles Lagerfett zur Anwendung, wodurch wir die Reibung verringern und somit eine Verlängerung der Lebensdauer erzielen. Das innere Freilauflager stellt eine Besonderheit dar. Die Eigenschaften dieses Lagers wurden individuell an seine spezielle Funktion angepasst, um eine adäquate Tragfähigkeit zu gewährleisten. Für die beste Performance haben wir außerdem das Lagerspiel exakt auf unsere Naben abgestimmt. Vorteil: Sollte mal kein TUNE Präzisionslager verfügbar sein, kann ein Standardlager als temporärer Ersatz verwendet werden.
